Equipment Operator III (Temp)
Description
- This is a Temporary position
The City of Thompson is seeking an Equipment Operator III. The duties include receiving written or oral instructions, checking equipment for fuel, oil, water, coolants, and lubricants, and reporting any irregularities. The role involves operating equipment for snow removal and various material handling tasks related to the maintenance, construction, or operations of City of Thompson facilities. Additionally, the position involves directing and assisting helpers in street cleaning, sanding, steamer operations, and garbage disposal, as well as transporting personnel, materials, and equipment as required.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Valid Class 3 Manitoba Driver's License with Air Brake Endorsement
• Ability to operate all equipment as per the job description
• Ability to receive, understand and apply written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work shift work as required for operations

$29.31 - $35.52 per hour
